This blog chronicles my time living and working with Iraqi refugees in Amman, Jordan.
I will be sharing their stories, my stories, and as many details as I can about the refugee crisis here.

Hi Kali,
I am enjoying your interesting weekly notes; it’s such a valuable direct experience.
Are you getting any video footage?
Cheers,
Miko
Professos Nincic,
Thanks for the comment
I am trying to get some video, but it is very hard to do because people are justifiably paranoid about being identified. Every family has lost someone, known a kidnapping, been threatened from across the border, etc.
There is a group of lawyers from Yale who are putting together a video, which I helped with some and will come out next month. Direct Aid Iraq, a nonprofit here has also put together a set of video interviews with many refugees I know personally. If you send your address to me through UC Davis, I can mail you a copy.
I am glad you are reading my posts!
I am in Syria now and the internet is heavily regulated, so you will see another post when I return next week.
Love,
Kali
